Nagykanizsa is situated in the southwest of Hungary in the ethnical environment of Göcsej and Hetés. It is a merchant town, the second largest settlement in the district. However its smalltown character has also been retained. It is located near to the Lake Balaton at the intersection of five roads. Ancient monuments of the town go back to the Roman Times.

And there are legends about the Kanizsa Castle's role as a defense point during the Turkish Rule. The environment is famous for spas and rich flora. Due to its geographical position, as it is a railway and commercial junction, Nagykanizsa is lively, one can make active recreation in our town.
